Totally unexpected audit due to 1040, 8962 problem from Turbotax use.

You are not being audited.  
The IRS sent you a Notice or Letter concerning what they believe is an error on your tax return.  The Notice should have clearly indicated what the IRS has either changed, added or deleted from the original return you filed.  If this concerns the Premium Tax Credit reported on Form 8962, then did you enter a Form 1095-A into the TurboTax program when completing the Health Insurance section?

Received "We're auditing your 2014 form 1040...." in Letter 556 dated yesterday with the check box on "Premium Tax Credit".  Back bottom left corner has check boxes for "Questionaires", "Form 886-a",  "Form 14950".   Presumably the questionaire is the form letter 556 (of which they sent two copies); don't know what 886 is (missing?  Other sites suggest that it's an inventory of what they want); have printed 14950 from the IRS...

Earlier letter from April indicated they wanted a copy of 1095-a, which I re-sent (tho presumably it was included in the auto file since it printed here as PDF).  Thanks,

Since these are new forms this year (8962 & 1095-A) the IRS is questioning filers and requiring follow up papers to be sent.

TurboTax has a special phone number for help with IRS tax letters, which will be easier than going through regular Customer Support.   At the page below, click on the blue button that says "Get Help from TurboTax Support".  Then it will ask you what tax year is your letter.  Then it will ask you what the letter concerns. Then it will show you the phone number during posted business hours.

Yes. I'm working that currently.   To me, it's seriously deficient that this form wasn't included as of the original TurboTax output, delaying a "pending" refund for over 6 months.  30 minutes of Turbo input in the form of a DL from brokerage account, added 1095-A using the walk though, entered 1099 info then PDF-printed the result with an assurance that everything is good and auditing is miniscule...  Not!   Thanks for your input.   Am considering a tax attorney to obtain a guaranteed result.
