Took a loan against my retirement to start a small business. The business is paying me the $ for the loan. Is the loan amount considered an expense? Where do I put it?

If you use the loan for your business, you can deduct the interest paid on the loan as a business expense under Interest.

The total loan amount is not an expense, nor are the principal portion of the loan repayments.
