If I accidentally checked that I was in the military when I am Not how do I correct that?

To deselect the Military member button, please complete these steps below: 

  • Sign in to TurboTax (if you're not already signed in).
  • Click on the Take me to my return button
  • Click My Info tab (left panel) and select Edit next to the right of your name
  • Scroll down to question 1: I am a member or former member of the U.S. Armed Forces (active, reserve or National Guard) and select No
  • Click on the Continue button for the information to recalculate. (See image below).
