The tax year is for 2016, you having a birthday on the 25th does not affect this years taxes. You will be able to get the EIC (if you qualify) on your 2017 tax return (filed in 2018)

The tax year is for 2016, you having a birthday on the 25th does not affect this years taxes. You will be able to get the EIC (if you qualify) on your 2017 tax return (filed in 2018)
