Married filing joint. $79,206 taxable income. Your software says $9,061 taxes owed. IRS tax tables say $9,305?

I don't agree with the software answer on how much tax I owe.

The tax table does not take into account any dividend or capital gain income that is taxed differently (lower) than ordinary income. Taxable income is also listed on the 1040 prior to any credits being applied to reduce tax. These are the two most common reasons for the difference.
