The IRS doesn’t even have my refund yet?

I paper filed my return on February 13. I filed both my state and federal and I have already received my state refund. The federal refund has no news on the website when I try to check the status. It says it can’t find my refund. They suggested waiting 4 weeks and I have and there is still not a single update. I mailed the papers to the correct places. I tried calling the irs but the line just disconnects after I select my language preference. How long do I have to wait to get an update on my status? Or at least know they have my return. Should I just mail them another return?

If you paper filed and mailed it in, you normally would need to wait 6-8 weeks before processing.

Don’t mail another return. The IRS is way behind in processing returns and mailed returns take many months to process.
