I want to make sure I understand you- Are you talking about the filing instructions in Turbo Tax?     On those same instructions, there should be listed your Adjusted Gross Income, Taxable Income and Tax due OR tax Refund.  What are you seeing as your total tax?  And your total payments/credits?

I am asking that to see if that information looks correct to you.  Did you have wages (W-2) that tax was withheld?  that withholding should be included in total payments and credits mentioned above.

Finally, look at your 2016 return (if you filed)  and see if there were differences that stand out.  (We can not see your information.)  Go back into your return and double check your information.
