The amount quoted to file was $76.98, to be deducted from my refund; however it seems a total of $117 was deducted...what exactly did i pay for ?

The "Refund Processing Service" that deducts TurboTax fees from your refund is an additional $39.99 charge (edit: higher in California). You could have avoided that charge by paying the $76.98 with a credit or debit card when filing.

Wow...i wish I had known this when i filed, at least I’ll know next year but i probably won’t decide to use TurboTax next year....not a fan of the sneaky hidden fees.

I dont recall ever being charged an extra 40.00. I have used turbo tax every year. I guess I'll be rethinking it now. Sad that they gouge people like this.
