Thank you for the zip file. After extracting it, how do I use it to see prior years' tax returns?

Turbotax provided a file of my history.

@jimrothgeb

Well, after starting up a new tax return with the 2024 Desktop software, and transferring last year's .tax2023 datafile......you can see the 5-year history of prior years in the 5-year history sheet....in Forms Mode...

BUT

You can only see the basic data from those prior years (provided you used TTX for each year, and had the data transferred each year in succession).

In order to see the actual tax files & forms for those prior years, you'd either need the PDF file generated from that year (from access to the "Online" account, if Online software was used...or from actual use of the Desktop software specified for that tax year).  The 2024 Desktop software will only deal with 2024 tax forms, no other years.

I don't think Turbo Tax uses ZIP files or can give you one.  Where did you get a zip file?  If you used the Online version you need to download the pdf file for each year or the data file ending in .tax2023, .tax 2022 etc.

Can you just take the zip off the end of the file? Did you use Microsoft Edge to download it? Try using a different browser.  Post on a .tax file downloading as a zip file
