If your efile status is "accepted", and if you have no Federal refund on Form 1040, Line 35a, then try using $1 at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool to see if it was at least received and processing.  I'm not sure if it will work for you, but it usually does work for me when I don't have a refund on my return.  This is anecdotal for my own experience, so other people's mileage may vary.
