I received a letter from the California tax franchise bureau requested that I submit copies of various tax items like Social Security statement and 99 W-2s. Should I review this request with TurboTax before I comply with the California Tech request?

TurboTax will not help you with a tax notice. You either comply or perhaps submit the notice to The Audit Defense service provided by TaxResources, Inc., also called TaxAudit.com, in partnership with TurboTax. If you paid for Audit Defense and you received a notice, call TaxResources, Inc. at 877-829-9695, or report your notice on their website at http://intuit.taxaudit.com/. If you did not pay for this service initially, there will probably be a fee. However, I don't think there is much they can do when there is simply a request for documentation. You may end up paying their fee, but you will still need to submit the requested documentation. There is probably a phone number on that notice you can call for more information.
