Subsequent to filing my taxes I discovered an incorrect entry for the State Number. What is the consequent for that error?

If your return was rejected due to the incorrect state number, simply navigate to where it is located and correct the number.  If the filing has gone through and has been accepted by all parties there is little you can do at this point.  If there is an issue to be addressed, the state in question will in all likelihood send you a notice requesting correcting information.

Thank you for your response Joseph. I was notified that both the Fed and State returns have been accepted so as you said, not a lot I can do at this point. I'm hoping it's not a big deal but since this is my first encounter with TurboTax, I didn't know. My mistake was to enter the state number from another 1099 but it's still the same state (Maryland) so I didn't think anything of it. Lesson learned.
