which is your resident state. a full year resident of one state generally gets some sort of credit for income taxed by both states. what is the reason given for changes your taxes? could it have reduced the non resident state credit.
You did not tell us which state you live in. When you are a resident of one state but work in another state, you need to prepare the NON-resident state tax return first, so that the state you live in gives you credit for the tax paid to the other state.
