Your state asked you for information, you did not send the information, but you wonder why you have not received your tax refund? Contact the state and ask them.
The computer is waiting for you to send the requested information. It will not understand that the information is the same as you sent to IRS and that the request for a paystub is irrelevant. If you refile, the computer will ask for the same information. The best way to resolve this is to send them exactly what they are asking for.
Agreed ... until you comply with the request for information the return will remain in limbo.
The issue was that, alot of Alabamians, were having the same issue of not getting a refund or answers.I called numerous of times and kept being told no extra info was needed. But when I called a reminded them it had been over 6mo,my call was expedited to a supervisor, only to be told again no info needed, and they were behind due to covid, then 3 days later received a letter about possible fraud.I replied with a certified letter, with the such as w2,and my tax forms that were used for both.there were No discrepancies,No fraud everything matched.Asking for a last check stub from a previous employer seem like overkill, especially since I didn't use my last checkstub to file.I also put a letter explaining that if the government saw no issue, why did they say it looked like fraud. But my experience with them has been anything over $99,they keep and say a person is not intitled.Im just trying to figure out do I need to put that particular tax return on next year.Or how do I proceed,if I haven't heard anything by next tax season
