So I finally got my refund date set for 2/22 and I bank with a credit union is it possible my bank will release it early or will they release it on the 22nd?

That depends entirely on the policies of your credit union. My own community-based bank releases direct deposits no earlier than the evening before deposit date, after the day's transactions have posted; they don't release some till the morning of the deposit date (generally the deadline). I've heard of prepaid cards releasing direct deposits up to 2 days early; but I can't say what your credit union will do.
