Should I see both returns pending at once! For instance if you know how much both W-2 was bringing back and it’s only showing the amount for one. Shouldn’t I see both

What did you do?   ALL of your income ----ALL of your W-2's ----- were supposed to be entered on the same tax return.   If you tried to file two different tax returns with a W-2 on each one, that was a mistake, and you will have to see if the return is rejected or accepted.   The IRS will not accept two tax returns using your SSN, so at least one of them is going to be rejected.  Maybe both if you  are lucky, so that you can fix the mistake and re-file.

What do you mean both returns?   Did you enter both W2s and file them together on the same tax return?  You only get 1 refund for the total income.  You don’t get a refund on each one.  We have a progressive tax system.  The more total income you make you pay a higher percent for tax.

At the end Turbo Tax just shows you the net federal and state combined. But that is only for your info. You will still get the full refund and you need to pay a tax due.

I am unsure of your question so I will answer it a couple of ways.

1. When you enter the first w2, you get the standard deduction, credits and so on. When you enter the second w2, everything changes. Your tax return must include all worldwide income and could have multiple w2 forms. Each w2 does not give you the standard deduction and credits, you only get those once so additional w2 won't have the same refund value as the first.

2. If you mean both returns, federal and state pending, then yes, they will pend until the federal accepts and then the state is usually pretty quick after that.

If you mistakenly filed two tax returns, one of them will reject so you can amend one to include all worldwide income. Please reply with any further clarification of the issue, if needed.
