Received IRS notice from 2015 tax that is was supposed to file form SE for self employment tax. Turbo tax did not require this when I filed. They say I owe $ 634. Help.

I had a 1099 and filed it as required. Nothing was said about SE tax.

"filed it as required" -- evidently not.
1099-MISC will generate SE tax unless the income is showing in Box 3.
Just pay the tax and move on.

An 1099-MISC? Was there an amount in Box 3 or Box 7 of that form?

Was the income reported on the Form 1099-MISC shown on Line 12 or Line 21 of your Form 1040?
