Why havent i recieved my refund yet

Hello, I have gone on the IRS page to track my refund. I filed almost a 4 weeks ago..And the IRS page says not found? DId I do everything correct?

The IRS did not open to accept returns until Jan 29, 2018. You can always check your e-file status by visiting this website here- https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

You can check your refund status using Where's my refund here - https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp

The Where's my refund tracker will give you the most up to date information about when the IRS will release your return. The website updates once per day, generally overnight.

The Efile says ready to mail which I already mailed? I signed in with my SSN and ZIp and it still says not found? I dont know what is going on!

@Stevenwilso1963 If you filed and your return was accepted, it is too late to change the bank account you entered for your direct deposit.

If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected.  If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it.  The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS.  Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return.  Expect a delay of at least a couple of weeks to receive your refund.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20a of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

TurboTax will not know anything about your mailed return, and will continue to show “Ready to Mail” on your account.  TurboTax will not know that you put your tax return in an envelope and took it to a mailbox.  TurboTax does not get updates on mailed returns.  Wait about 4 weeks from when you mail a return and then you can check the status on the IRS site. https://www.irs.gov/refunds

In the future, if you mail a tax return (or a payment) to the IRS, it is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it like UPS or certified mail so you will know it was received.

@lmmcgowan11 Are you referring to a refund offset. If the government made a correction to your tax return, resulting in a lower than anticipated refund,  you'll get an official explanatory letter when this happens.

I was suppose to receive my refund by the 21st feb..haven't got yet now turbo tax is wanting to take 190 dollars out of my checking account...

If you received an email that your account will be debited, please contact customer service at the url below to discuss the possibility of a delay in auto-debit.  When you agreed to the refund processing fee, you agreed to have the fees deducted from your account if you had not received your refund by a specific date.

I mailed in about March 13th. Every time I check the IRS refund tracker they say they have no info on my return. When I call the phone line they say they are not able to take my call. I'm in limbo since I need that Fed refund to pay my state taxes. I did not do e-file, but always mail in. Should I refile using e-file?

I used turbo tax, printed and sent all doc you told me to. Is my return correct?
