Where do I find "check for updates"?

The Check for Updates is only used with the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions, not the online editions.  The online editions are updated automatically.

I bought the program at Cosco and downloaded it using the box.  Now that I want to file, it is saying I need the update.

You can try this workaround if you reside in Mass or NY

I have the online version of TurboTax, which is supposed to update automatically.  When I go to e-file it says I need to update.  I'm baffled.

Does it say you need to update or that a form isn't ready?  are you using the Online version that has a black menu bar on the left side?  Or using a phone or tablet?
