Whats the HOLD UP???

YOU ARE NOT ALONE, MY FRIEND!! Filed Feb 28 and accepted Mar 1. No refund yet! It's a NOICE chunk of change, too. We got our stimulus check first day they started releasing them. Like wtf?? At least we're not in the boat alone. Everyone I talk to about it has no idea why it's taking so long and "oh wow, I got my return within the following two weeks of acceptance... UGH.

Whats the HOLD UP???

filed on April 11 it was accepted on 15th and still processing plus no stimulus payment why have I not  gotten stimulus yet?

Whats the HOLD UP???

Same here, filed i. February and I am still awaiting my return. But now TurboTax is attempting to debit my account though I set up the debit from the tax return. This is not ok! If I have not received my money, why should you??? TurboTax should wait for the federal government to release the funds and not try to bully the money out of their loyal customers who have been screwed in the past by TurboTax not conducting affective controls on returns...meaning these “professionals” that we pay for, actually review the returns for correctness, instead of taking a stance of you did not ask the question! Leave my account alone until the federal government releases funds!

Whats the HOLD UP???

The IRS looks at returns from 2018 or 2019 to determine where/if to send your stimulus check.  If you did not file a 2018 return for them to use, and your 2019 return has not yet been processed, that is why you have not yet received a stimulus check.

Waiting is frustrating—refunds are taking longer in many cases.  These are not normal times.  It is not possible for TurboTax to speed up the IRS for you.  It seems to be taking longer than usual for them to process returns.  They are short staffed; and they are processing millions of tax returns at the same time that they have been burdened with the task of processing millions of stimulus checks.  The IRS is not taking calls right now.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

Whats the HOLD UP???

I filed feb 5th and it has been accepted and still nothing . they have taken the fee payment out my bank acc twice , I haven’t gotten my refund from them why are they trying to take fees from me ? I received my stimulus before my tax refund . do I need to amend it and try again ?

Whats the HOLD UP???

At least some of you are getting your stimulus check there still dickin around with mine

Whats the HOLD UP???

You guys do realize that Turbo Tax has nothing to do with when the IRS will finish processing your return.  As of now, the IRS is not functioning at full capacity.  Maybe contact your congressmen or senator and demand that they reopen the IRS so that they can handle their responsibility.

Whats the HOLD UP???

@jaxmom711 Do not amend.  That will not help you.  Amending a return is a process to use only when the return has been fully processed and had mistakes on it.  Sending in an unnecessary amended return would only cause further confusion.

Sorry for your wait.  Many people are also waiting.

The IRS is not taking calls right now.

IRS phone lines supported by customer service representatives for both taxpayers and tax professionals are not staffed at this time. To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)

At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your area's IRS Taxpayer Advocate.

Whats the HOLD UP???

I'm in the same situation.  My boyfriend got his and I filed his after mine.  The irs website says still processing but it has been 38 days. I got stimulus by check. I submitted with my direct deposit Info and still waiting.  Wtf!!

Whats the HOLD UP???

Same boat. I don't have the charge they want to take out of my account, that's why I chose to get it withdrawn from my tax refund. I didn't get my stimulus either. This whole thing is b.s.

Whats the HOLD UP???

Just talked to someone today FINALLY and the lady said they weren't processing returns for the past month or so. Good news they are reopening and sending workers back and are opening up the phone lines again. Still have to wait till 60 review dates are up.
