What do you recommend as a way to get your income tax back? Credit karma or direct deposit?

If you have a bank account for direct deposit  then don't use a third party product with string attached.

If you already have a bank account that you can use for a direct deposit, then I cannot think of a great reason to get your refund put on a card that can be easily lost or stolen, or that will be subject to the rules of how much you can withdraw in a given time period, etc. etc. etc.  Have your refund put into a bank account that YOU control.
