Was my tax return e-filed directly from the irs and was it filed as direct deposit? Now I put in my bank information when filing but there was nothing confirming that it would be directly deposited

What do you mean by "Was my tax return e-filed directly from the irs"?   If you used TurboTax to prepare your tax return and you chose e-file, instead of mail, then TurboTax sent the return to the IRS.

If you e-filed, check the status of your return.

Here's help for checking your e-file status:

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/return-status/help/how-do-i-check-my-e-file-status/01/25538#M91

In TurboTax if you don't see Pending, Accepted, or Rejected as the status, you may not have completed the e-file and you need to Transmit your return.

As for it being filed as direct deposit, if you chose Direct Deposit as the method you wanted to receive your refund and entered you bank routing and account numbers, then it should be Direct Deposited.

This will help you determine the method by which you will be receiving your refund or how you chose to pay any taxes owed.   These steps can not be performed on the TurboTax Mobile App, you will need to sign into your account at https://turbotax.intuit.com/ using the same login credentials you used on the app.

  1. Open your return if it's not already open.
  2. On the Tax Home screen with the amount of your refund and status, scroll down and select Add a State (don't worry, we're not adding a state) to access your tax forms and worksheets.
  3. In the left menu, select Tax Tools then Print Center.
  4. On the TurboTax Print Center screen, select Print, save or preview this year's return.
  5. On the next TurboTax Print Center screen, select 2019 federal returns and Include Government and TurboTax Worksheets (optional), then select View or Print Forms.
  6. The information will be on the first page, Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2019 Federal Tax Return next to Balance Due/Refund."
