Turbo Card and Stimulus Deposits - What you need to know
In order to deliver money as quickly as possible to those who need it, the IRS is sending stimulus payments to eligible taxpayers who filed a tax return in either 2019 or 2018 and chose to receive their refund via direct deposit into their checking account. These taxpayers will automatically have their stimulus payment deposited into the account they received their refund.
We have not yet received confirmation from the IRS on whether they will be putting stimulus payments on prepaid debit cards. However, we have noticed that the IRS has started depositing stimulus payments on some prepaid debit cards for taxpayers that chose to receive their refund through that method in tax year 2019 or 2018. If you received your refund on a prepaid debit card in tax year 2019 or 2018, here is what you need to know:
Can you please stop putting this message up for every answer we need to know what is going on and you are not helping You are gonna lose customers H&R Block customers are already seeing the stimulus payment pending and you don’t even have any info for us this is not how you treat your customers
The IRS is not yet providing anyone with information about how their specific deposit is being transmitted.
If you do not have money on your card when the IRS portal opens to check the individual status and update data, you will be able to check for specific status at that time and provide an update if necessary regarding where you would like your payment to be directed.
We aren't able to give any additional information, because we do not have it - the IRS does not communicate with us about individual taxpayer refunds or payments.
The answer is we will get our payment through the mail. My daughter used hr block this year, got advance and had emerald card, but she also had her netspend info to add the remainder of her taxes after hr got their fees. Today she received her stimulus check on her netspend card. Turbo still has the same amount for me which lets me know turbo knows we are getting paper check and their company doesn’t want to provide their customers with the truth. We will have to wait for the mail everyone!!
