Your return will stay in Pending status until the IRS finishes processing the backlog of returns. After January, e-filed returns generally sit in Pending status for 24–48 hours before coming back as either Accepted or Rejected. Sometimes returns stay in Pending for several days or even longer.  Unfortunately, TurboTax has no control over how long the IRS takes to accept a return.

I filed on on Feb 14 and I'm still at a pending status, did your status change yet?

Pending status

Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet, sometimes it takes longer than 48 hours.

Please keep in mind that February 14 was on a Friday.   Saturday, Sunday and the President's day yesterday are not working days, which means that sometime today you will be hitting the 24 hour mark, depending on what time you filed on Friday.   If you filed after the close of business on Friday, then you won't hit the 24 hour mark until tomorrow.

I've worked for Jackson Hewitt for 11 years and I have never had a return pending for this long and the weekend made no difference to the accept/reject status.

@Nic124

Unfortunately, TurboTax has no control over the IRS and when they will "Accept" tax returns. After January, e-filed returns generally sit in Pending status for 48 hours or longer before coming back as either Accepted or Rejected. Sometimes state returns stay in Pending for several days or even longer.

Until the IRS starts processing it on their end, you may not find record of it. The website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund or no record found. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight. You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status.

I didn't get an IRS letter, my return was rejected because of a interview question per Turbotax.  This is so frustrating, can't get the correct information.

 This is what I got:  ACTION NEEDED: Important Information About Your Federal Tax Return On February 20 or later, your tax return will include an updated interview question regarding Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement. Please pay careful attention if any of your dependents are filing a separate tax return. The household income is part of the calculation for the Premium Tax Credit. What do I do now? If you're using a CD or downloaded version of TurboTax: On or after February 20th, update TurboTax (visit our Support Site if you need help updating).Please review your answers under the topic of the Affordable Care Act (1095-A) in the Deduction & Credits Section. Make any corrections if prompted. E-file your return (you won't be charged for e-filing) If you're using the online version: On or after February 20th, log into your TurboTax Online account. Please review your answers under the topic of the Affordable Care Act (1095-A) in the Deduction & Credits, is the update complete?

Same here. Had a Turbotax Specialist on the phone and screen share. All they could determine was that the 1095a hadn't been updated yet. This was within the last 10 minutes.
