I submitted my tax refund in the beginning of January. A week later I submitted an addendum. IRS is unreachable, can get through to a person, and no news on my refund!?

When I call there is no record of the addendum on the automated system. The IRS site says they’ve accepted my tax forms but the addendum isn’t in the records. Can’t get ahold of an actual person to save my life.

Form 1040X is not an addendum.

It is a new tax return replacing your original tax return.

Form 1040X is processed separately.
