I just got off the phone with the IRS and they are telling me they did not receive my Federal Taxes?

Did you efile your return or print and mail it?

If you efiled your return, you can verify that is was accepted using the IRS tracking web site:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

If you printed and mailed your return, the IRS should have told you that they have no way to know whether they received your return or not until they actually open it and start processing it. They have many thousands of returns that are sitting in stacks in trailers at regional processing centers unopened. They have not indicated when they will start processing mailed returns again.
