I have received my federal refund but not state. Why?

The federal and state tax returns are processed by different government agencies, and each one operates on it's own schedule. One has nothing to do with the other, so it's quite normal for one to be paid before the other.

It is common for the state refund to be received after the federal refund, sometimes a few weeks after.  The tax returns are processed in different places, using different people and systems.

Mine is the other way around I have yet to get my federal tax refund I got my state within 2 weeks of filing but have yet to get my federal it was excepted February 3 I even got my stimulus already every time I go to weres my refund it just says still processing

@rgatliff  Under normal circumstances you could call the IRS and ask why your refund is delayed. But because of the Covid-19 pandemic the IRS phone lines are closed. So unfortunately there is nothing you can do but wait.
