Kind of vague statement there. Have you received any notices from the IRS on the delay? Normally the IRS will send a 45 and 60 day hold letter stating that it's being reviewed.  

Numerous things could be holding up your return. The irs got really back logged in 2020 processing certain returns, specially those that were not filed electronically.  A simple mistake or error in math can cause a delay. 

More details are needed as below to understand your certain situation. 

When did you file your tax return? 

Was it a simple w2 with standard credits and deductions? 

Did you have health insurance through the health market place? If you did you file a 1095a and 8962 form for the credit? 

Did you claim any qualifying children? 

Did you file with an injured spouse form? 

Also you can request a return transcript through the IRS get transcript phone number. 

Doing that will list codes at the bottom. Those internal codes may shed light on what's going with it. 

Meanings to those codes can be found by a simple google search.
