Yes you can print and mail state. It should give you the choice when you go through the FILE tab. You will have to pay any fees for state first with a credit card to print. Did you already file federal? You can delete State and just efile federal and then add the state back in.
Apparently I used the online version at $39.00. As a result I not only have no access to the FILE tab, but my records from previous years, 2014 through 2020 were not transferred.
When I realized my error in selecting the less expensive program I emailed Turbo Tax twice asking to return to our tried and true.
There was no response.
I have downloaded my State's return form directly and will file directly now that I understand Turbo Tax' new approach.
Hugely disappointing. Mary C. West
Sorry I didn't understand any of that. Did you use the Desktop CD/Download program before? You can do a state return in all versions and both Online and Desktop. All versions have a FILE tab. You can only transfer from the last year. If you used the Desktop program then the only copies are on that computer and not saved online.
What new approach? Nothing has changed for years about filing or state. There is a difference between using the Online web browser version you log into each time and using the Desktop program you install from a CD or download and install. People get them confused all the time. The Online version is not the same as downloading the Desktop program.
