Has the IRS said anything about refunds taking longer due to the pandemic? I filed on 02/28/20 & the IRS website still indicates it is processing. Anyone else have this?

The IRS has not reported anything concerning a delay in processing due to the pandemic

To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
If over 21 days since being Accepted by the IRS and the tax refund is still Processing you can call the IRS and speak with an IRS agent concerning your tax refund.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Then press 4 for personal or individual tax questions.
It should then transfer you to an agent.

YES!! the same thing has happened to me. Im still waiting for the stimulus check even. When i put in my information it said they were using my information from 2018 (which is no longer valid) and that i would more than likely be mailed it. I have been trying for over a month to reach someone at the IRS and State department DOR and have gotten no response due to COVID19. Even the tax payer advocates have not gotten back to anyone in my household. now turbotax is trying to charge me 190.00 with not even 9.00 in my account. I will never use this service again. Its been two months since ive filed.

OMG! It’s soo nice to know I am not alone!! Yeah TurboTax is trying to charge me too! I called to complain and was told that TurboTax is a private company and bc they did the work I will have to pay regardless that I never received my refund or even a letter that anything is wrong. I was like seriously!? The government literally has no way to be contacted about why my return is literally frozen and this greedy company is trying to take what little money I have and there is no way for me to even tell if TurboTax did the correct thing with my return to begin with! I got some lame extension to pay until 05/21 but there is no guarantee that even by then I will be able to contact the IRS.

Im with you!! ive been trying non stop to get this resolved. the best i can hope for is that the stimulus gets mailed and i can take care of stuff that way.

It is happening with a lot of taxpayers.

The IRS issues a lot of refunds within 21 days, but it has been taking longer with the stimulus payment being issued in addition to the tax refunds.

Also, be aware, the IRS operations are limited during the Covid-19 pandemic.  Attached is a link with more information as to what departments are available to contact at the moment.
