Once accepted the IRS takes over with status updates. Use the IRS Where's My Refund? tracker for detailed, personalized refund status updates.
Note: An IRS representatives will be able to research the status of your refund if your return was accepted (received) more than 21 calendar days ago. Call them at 1-800-829-1040, but prepare for potentially long wait times.

Where's my refund only says still processing with no other information.
Can not get in touch because all employees are not working, can't text because there is no where to send it, not listed in IRS site. So we are in the middle of this big mess, we have a refund due but like knocking on the door where nobody is home.
Why not just send the money and fix it next year IF there is a problem we sent ours through turbo tax, they want to get paid now It has been 6 weeks and not when the return comes out as agreed.
I am having the same issue. I submitted my taxes 6 weeks ago and have not heard anything since. Online resources are not helpful, phone lines will not put me through to an employee. I am worried that this delayed processing is going to affect the stimulus checks being sent out, so the IRS is holding up thousands of dollars for me right now.
Have you found anything out I’m going through the exact same thing
Hey everyone I'm going through the same thing. Anyone find more info?
I filed electronically March 15, today is April 28.
Been on "Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available." for awhile now.
Cannot find anyone to contact. Oh and also side note- no stimulus check either. Related?
Hello ! Have you heard anything about your refund ? Currently going through the same efiled the 15 of April was accepted but “still processing “.
Any update to your case ?
The online link is your best option to track your refund. I have attached a link with more answers from the IRS as to why your refund may be taking longer to process.
Catina, thank you for your reply, but none of us would be here if we hadn't already exhausted all other venues. The IRS phone line says to check the website. The IRS website says to call the phone line. The Where's My Refund tool shows nothing helpful, and all physical IRS locations are shut down due to the virus. There is no recourse for us except to wait and hope the IRS can finally do their job. I'm about to hit 90 days since my refund was accepted and have received no contact whatsoever.
IRS Telephone Options: Automated phone lines which handle most taxpayer calls - also remain available . Some tax compliance lines also remain available and some IRS phone lines supported by customer service representatives for both taxpayers and tax professionals including the EIP phone line for those who received an EIP letter (Notice 1444) are open with limited staffing at this time, however callers should expect long waits. To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)
Once your return is accepted, only the IRS knows anything about the status. They are slowly returning, but services are extremely limited right now. They are only processing e-filed returns that do not require any manual processing. Since your return is past 90 days, it requires manual processing and those returns are on hold until they resume normal operations.
so if the expected date is 05/14/2020 then it does not mean that it has been lost if I still have not received it?
@tvalyou67 The date you saw from TurboTax is not a promise. It is only an estimated date based on normal processing times. These are not normal times. Many refunds are taking longer. Continue to watch the IRS site for information.
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I wrote in earlier and have an update.
I finally had a change in my tax status around May 26. The app now stated the IRS received my taxes, which is confusing because before it said "still processing"... I assumed this meant it was received.
Again I filed in mid-March. A few days after, it changed from, your refund has been accepted and will arrive in your bank account no later than X date.
Here's the thing though, I reached out to some family who are accountants and they were able to contact the IRS on my behalf. I didn't ask too many questions about why everything took so long, but they were able to get things moving and now my refund finally appeared in my back account end of last week.
My suggestion is to get an accountant to call the IRS on your behalf because I couldn't figure out any other way to find answers.
so on top of paying turbo tax I will have to pay an accountant....
Well I'm glad turbo tax got paid it is to bad they didn't wait till AFTER
I recieved mine. But turbo tax was paid during covid 19 and we were all shut down and unable to work, but turbo tax took the money out of my account, so they gat paid with out delivering there service. nice huh...
