My amended 2018 return resulted in an increase of tax $22. My original refund was applied to my 2019 taxes, so it reduced the amount to be applied next year. It also told me to enclose and check to the IRS for $22.
This is not correct! I will now pay the amount due twice - once by check - and then again through my reduced amount applied to next years taxes.
