If your return is still pending you are locked out of the return until it is accepted ... https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/printing/help/how-do-i-print-my-federal-tax-forms/00/27329

So you have efiled your returns and are now printing for your records?  What is your current efile status?    As Critter said above, it may be because you haven't yet been accepted.

If that's the situation, you can either wait a couple days until accepted, or you can see if you can print by opening the filed return back up and printing at the Print Center.

NOTE:  If you decide to open the return back up, do NOT make any changes in it.   If you later have to amend your already-filed return, it must start off exactly as filed.

  • Log in and go to the Tax Home and then "Your Tax Returns & Documents."  Choose 2019.
  • If you can't print with the link there that says "Download/print the PDF", here's an alternative:
  • To open the return, click on "Add a State."  (that doesn't really add one, but opens the return.)
  • Once the return is open, go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then choose PRINT CENTER.
  • Click on "Print, save, preview this year's tax return."
  • It may then offer you a choice of PDFs containing various forms and worksheets.  Something like "Just my tax returns", or "include government worksheets (optional)", or "include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional.)"
