Question about money given to parents, can it be deducted?

I'm giving 600 dollars to my parents each month for rent/car/phone bills.  Is there any way I can get money back from any of those through my income tax?

Question about money given to parents, can it be deducted?

The amounts given would be gifts.  Gifts given to an individual are not reported on or deductible on a tax return.  If the gifts given to a single individual in the year are over $14,000 then a gift tax return, Form 709, has to be filed.

Gifts received from an individual are not reported on a tax return, regardless of the amount received.
