E-filed my 2024 tax return. Payment will not be deducted until 4-14-25. Just realized I paid quarterly taxes in 2024 and did not include them on my return. So I overpaid my taxes plus paid a penalty. What can I do?

Yes.
Call IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at 1-888-353-4537 to inquire about your payment.
If you want to check the debit date you specified, look on the filing instructions for your return. It will tell you the debit date the IRS or State will deduct the payment. If you did not print them out you can view them using the following steps:

The IRS will know that you paid estimated quarterly payments and will adjust your return.
The IRS should match up payments and correct the return. If you have a direct debit for the payment, you can cancel it by calling 888-353-4537 but it must be at least 2 days ahead of debit and 7 days after filing.
You can call the IRS payments department at 800-316-6541 if this becomes an issue or you have a concern.

Called and was able to cancel my payment. Called just two days after Efiled my tax form.
Payment was scheduled for two weeks latter.
