PIN number to efile - The IRS PIN for identity theft is 6 digits and yet the efile pin is only 5 digits. The return got rejected. WHat do I do?

Everyone needs a five digit e-file pin, if you have a six digit IP pin assigned to you, that is required in addition. There is a place to indicate that you have an IP pin during the file step, but it is easy to miss. Another way to directly enter the IP pin is to go to the tab marked “other tax situations“ where IP pin is one of the items in the list.
