It depends.
As long as you have not mailed or filed your state tax return, you can do the following to access the input and make your corrections.
This will allow you to see your state return. (You do not need to actually add a state, but this will allow you to access your existing state return.)
hi, it keeps taking me back to State page but will not allow me to make changes to, in particular, the mortgage interest deductible. how can i change that?
It depends.
Have you submitted your federal tax return for filing yet?
If not, you can make the changes in your federal input section.
If you have already submitted the returns for e-filing, you should not make any changes until the returns are accepted. You would then need to prepare an amended return to make any corrections.
hi, this is for my state return. i paid the turbotax fee but did not file. during the review, i saw that the mortgage interest was incorrect for the state return. i can not figure out how to change it. also, it will not allow me to delete and start over since i already paid the turbotax fee and entered my bank account info. (but did not complete the last step to efile) can i change my state return at this point?
