You would file a 2019 amended return. You can't combine your 2019 with your 2020 income tax return. See How to amend (change or correct) a return you already filed?

not sure what you did but to claim a 2019 overpayment on your 2020 return you must have filed a 2019 return or amendment that was processed by the IRS and accepted and on which you spciifed the overpayment was to be applied to next year. you can check the status on the irs website
