If the last name was wrong, it wouldn't have been accepted....IRS would have rejected it.  What last name is shown on her SS card? Thats the last name you use on the tax return.

No - You don't need to amend the return to correct your wife's name.  You may receive a letter from the IRS asking about it but if you haven't heard from the IRS by now, you probably won't.
