On my state return they said I get 250 back for my food sales tax credit but when at the end at time to fill it said 0 ks refund WHY ?

To qualify you must be at least 55 years old or a have a dependent under the age of 18 that you claim as an personal exemption. Here is some guidance as to the pre-requisites to gaining the credit. sales tax credit

No, this is a non-refundable credit.  

You have to have a Kansas income tax liability to obtain a food sales tax credit.
