On federal tax return I chose to receive a check. When I go website to check my refund status it says that my refund has been approved, but there is no bank information.

The where is my refund site says my refund has been approved, but there is no bank information and wants me to input that information. I don’t have a bank account which is why I chose to receive a paper check. Why did you not tell them that I wanted to receive a paper check?

The IRS doesn't automatically send checks anymore. In accordance with Executive Order 14247, Modernizing Payments To and From America's Bank Account, signed on March 25, 2025, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, in coordination with the Internal Revenue Service and other federal agencies, is advancing the transition to fully electronic federal payments. This policy shift includes phase out of paper tax refund checks beginning Sept. 30, 2025, to the extent permitted by law.

Why oh why does your software allow for me to choose a paper check for my federal refund when an executive decision made a year ago said that is no longer an option???

sounds like a big software BUG to me.
