if you were not covered by marketplace insurance there would be no 1095-A and there would be no 8962 to file.  if this is the case, so respond.

then

if not cover by marketplace, but were you covered by other qualified personal or employer health insurance  (should have received form 1095-B)  so respond and send copy

if you had no coverage, then you need to qualify for exemption or have paid penalty.

if qualified for exemption you'll need to complete form 8965 and send that

or if no coverage so respond and expect a bill

in any case enclose copy of notice.

Did you receive a 1095-A from your health insurer, and enter it into the program?

Follow the answer below to complete the 8962   and contact the ACA marketplace to get a copy of the 1095-A.

It would have been IF you entered the 1095-A that populates the 8962 ...

The IRS is requesting Form 8962 for 2018
