IRS says I have to wait 6 weeks again

i forgot to sign my tax return, IRS sent it back and I signed, dated and sent it back to them. They said my time starts over and will have to wait the 6 week mark again. do most people have to wait the full 6 weeks again?

Not usually 6 weeks, maybe 3. But the IRS has given this to you as an estimate. They say 6 weeks just to give themselves plenty of time.

If there is ever a next time, here is how speed the process up:

Priority mail your tax return back to them. AND choose direct deposit.

This will be the fastest way for you to get your refund.
