New York state is one of the states that has been taking extra time to approve and release refunds due to extra measures they have put in place to verify the returns. There have been many taxpayers with similar situation such as yours.

Some have found that calling the NYS Department of Revenue they have had some success getting an explanation as why it is taking so long and seeing when the funds will be released.
