Need to change refund deposit of federal & state combined. New Mexico will delay federal refund 6-8 weeks. want IRS refund ASAP. STATE SEPRATE REFUND

State and Federal refunds are always separate.  They are never combined.  They come from two different tax agencies doing their own thing.

Some people are confused by a screen in the filing section that mentions filing the Federal and State returns at the same time.  It is not combining the Federal and State refunds into a single deposit--that cannot be done.
