My TurboTax would not file unless I paid for state return, but that was supposed to be included in my software. How do I get a refund?

It is showing you are using the Online version.  With the Online version there is a charge for the Federal return & State return.  There is no charge to e-file.

With the Desktop software, Deluxe & above, you get one Free State Program.  There is a charge to e-file a State return.  You have to make sure the product you purchase says it includes one free State. Deluxe does come with Federal only.
