I did my taxes over a week ago and it’s still saying pending . How long does it take ?
Pending means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet. The IRS will begin accepting returns on January 27, 2020.

Probably because the IRS has to process a backlog of several million tax returns submitted by early filers before the official start date of January 27.
