My taxes says ready to mail. I have already printed out an sent in my amended taxes, What do I do now? Do I wait for a check in the mail?

Yep. You just wait. The status will read "ready to mail" forever. TurboTax has no way of knowing that you actually mailed the return. Also be aware that it can take anywhere from 8-16 weeks for the IRS to process an amended return. Additionally, if an amended return will result in a refund, the IRS will mail you a check to the address on that return. Since amended returns are processed by hand, that is the only method they will use for sending you any refund due on that amended return.
