My tax refund was filed and accepted on February 1, 2024. The date to receive by was yesterday 2/22/24. I have received my state taxes but have not received my federal?

Says my federal tax was accepted and would receive it by 2/22 but have not received it. It still only says accepted

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund earlier than late February.

My tax refund was filed and accepted on February 1, 2024. The date to receive by was yesterday 2/22/24. I have received my state taxes but have not received my federal?

I verified my identity submitting documents and through the video selfie call. It says I need a 14 digit control number from a letter I received in the mail. I have not received a letter in the mail or email so I requested another letter be sent 2 weeks ago ad have not received it. I'm not sure what to do, I'm 20 years old and this is my 1st time filing by myself and I do not know how to find out why I have not received my refund or what to do. Please help! This has me very confused. Can Turbo tax please find out what I need to do I think my subscription pays for assistance but I'm not sure.

You will have to wait for the letter before you can do anything else.  If you keep requesting new letters, it may end up causing more confusion and delaying the process since it is possible that each letter has a different control number. This is a new step they put in place to cut down on ID theft this year and is taking a while for the IRS to iron out the wrinkles. After you receive your letter and verify your identity, it can take up to 9 weeks to process your refund.
