@ Elizabethcpaige2004 asked: "My state taxes were approved almost a month ago and I haven’t received it I tried tracking it but it says the information out in is wrong it’s not what do I do?"
How are you using the word "approved?" If you can't track it, how do you know the state return was approved for a refund? Or do you mean the state efile was accepted a month ago for processing? What state is it?
When using a state refund lookup tool, look at your actual state return to get the refund amount to use in the tool.
Also double-check the efile status at the Tax Home page. What does it show for the efile status of the state return--does it say accepted, rejected, printed, started, or something else?
FAQ: How do I track my state refund?
It shows on the home page that my state taxes were approved the file and the refund both
If your state efile status shows it was accepted for processing, and if your state refund tracking tool can't find it, then you'll need to phone your state tax agency so they can verify it was received, if it has finished processing, and if it was approved and sent. They can also troubleshoot as to why it's not showing up in their tracking tool. They should know if your state refund was indeed approved and sent And if it was sent, ask them to whom it was sent; i.e., ask if it was sent directly to your bank account or if it was sent to an intermediary third-party bank.
